The influence of habitat features and co-occuring species on puma (Puma concolor) density and occupancy across seven sites in Belize, Central America

 

Research Objectives:

 

  1. Produce spatially-explicit density estimates for pumas across seven sites in Belize

  2. Examine the factors affecting puma occupancy across sites, including landscape characteristics, microhabitat features, and trapping rates of other carnivores and important prey species

  3. Model co-occurence of Belizean carnivores and important prey species
